The Joshua Stone
Beginning of The End
The bible writer Paul in the first century reminded those around him on many occasions of the events that were to take place before the end of this system, and to keep an eye out in order to recognize the unfolding prophecies. At Dan 8:12 we read: "And an army was given over, together with the constant feature, because of transgression; and it kept throwing truth to the earth, and it acted and had success." Here Daniel reminds us of what has been a theme throughout all scripture. In every instance of Jehovah having a people here on earth, they have fallen short of his requirements, and have been in need of discipline. From the ancient Israelites of old subjected to forty years of wondering in the wilderness, to Jehovah’s people today and the transgression causing desolation that has penetrated his earthly organization that will result in public condemnation. (2Th 2:11)
There have been those inside the organization for years that have questioned certain prophetic teachings of the Watchtower Society quietly within themselves for fear of disassociation, but have realized that such teachings were not in agreement with scriptural chronology. As well there have been others outside who have publicly declared that within Jehovah’s courtyard on earth there has been a transgression, and an operation of error that will shortly cause the Watchtower Society itself to be brought to nothing.
We will soon witness the truth about what is actually prophesied to occur in the final part of the days of this system of things, and shortly we will see the complete destruction of the Watchtower Society itself, just as seen before Zerubabbel in Zechariah 4:7: “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a level land. And he will certainly bring forth the headstone. There will be shoutings to it: “How charming! How charming!”
We will soon see the first event that was prophesied to occur in the time of the end. We read at Daniel 11:30b: “And he will actually go back and hurl denunciations against the holy covenant and act effectively; and he will have to go back and will give consideration to those leaving the holy covenant.” This is actually the very next prophesy of the bible slated to occur from the time of this writing. The king of the north was prophesied more than twenty five hundred years ago to come against Jehovah’s people uncovering their transgressions, and will shortly bring about the end of the publications from the Watchtower Society, nine hundred and sixty five days after those first news reports. (Dan 7:25)
The next event to occur will be the removal of the constant feature. In the days of the Israelites of old, the constant feature was the sacrifices offered up by the priests at the temple. Today this constant feature is the Watchtower itself and the publications that the society and its members regularly rely on and consider the “Food at the proper time” however, that constant feature today is prophesied to be removed, beginning the one thousand two hundred and sixty day time period of tribulation upon Jehovah’s people. We read at Daniel 7:25: “And he will speak even words against the Most High, and he will harass continually the holy ones themselves of the Supreme One. And he will intend to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand for a time, and times and half a time.” (Dan 8:12, 11:31a, 12:7)
During this time there will be two anointed witnesses of Jehovah whom will have a responsibility of declaring these coming events on the whole world. We read of their account at Rev 11:3, 4: “And I will cause my two witnesses to prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days dressed in sackcloth.” These are symbolized by the two olive trees and the two lampstands and are standing before the lord of the earth.” As well we read of another account in Zechariah 4:2: “I have seen, and, look! There is a lampstand entirely of gold, with a bowl on top of it. And its seven lamps are upon it, even seven; and the lamps that are at the top of it have seven pipes. And there are two olive trees along-side it, one on the right side of the bowl and one on its left side.”
Described in the third and fourth chapters of Zechariah these two have a responsibility in service to Jehovah, while each with their own gifts. First, Joshua is the one in whom the responsibility is given of the stone engraved with seven eyes. Second, Zerubbabel has the wonderful gift of rebuilding and laying the foundation of Jehovah’s spiritual temple deep in the time of the end.
